Adam Schefter has revealed that the Denver Broncos have made their latest decision on star tight end Evan Engram.
This star tight end delivered an extremely disappointing performance throughout the entire 2025 NFL season.
He recorded just one touchdown in what became a very difficult year for the veteran pass-catcher.
His two-year contract worth twenty-three million dollars has raised plenty of questions around the league.
Broncos fans have been doubting Engram’s future with the team after his poor production last season.

However, head coach Sean Payton has now spoken out and confirmed the franchise’s clear intentions.
Payton stated that Engram remains a key piece in the Broncos’ offensive plans moving forward.
The coach said the team will increase the veteran tight end’s workload and role this year.
Even with a large salary-cap hit, Denver chose to keep him instead of releasing the player.
This decision helps the Broncos avoid more dead money than they would save by cutting him.
Engram contributed several big plays last season even though he started only two games.
He saw seventy-six targets and ranked third on the team in pass targets received.

Payton emphasized that Engram brings valuable leadership and experience to the locker room.
The Broncos are still scouting the 2026 tight end draft class very closely this offseason.
They have met with several top prospects but Engram’s roster spot remains completely safe.
Denver already has a deep tight end room featuring Trautman, Adkins, Krull and others.
Payton praised the variety of tight end prospects available in this year’s upcoming draft.
He stopped short of revealing exactly which type of player the team is targeting.
The decision to retain Engram shows the Broncos still believe in his potential bounce-back.
A brighter future appears to be waiting for the two-time Pro Bowler right here in Denver.
